OK, so the garage sale was radio station KTRS's Saturday Morning Garage
Sale, a call in radio programme where one can sell up to two items and
buy up to two items.

I called in the late 8:00 hour with two toddler toys I tried to sell in
my yard sales and on Craigs List. I also added a wanted item, the video
game system called the Vectrex, first produced by GCE and later by
Milton Bradley, and locally never sold by Toys R Us because TRU did not
come to StL until 1988. Here in StL, it was sold by a long defunct
competitor to the now defunct KB Toys, then called K&K Toys, with only
two locations, one at Crestwood Plaza, and the other at Chesterfield
Mall.

I gave all that info for a reason, everything I could do to prime
someone's memory.

It worked.

I got a call from a guy in south county. He had the machine and 4 or 5
games. It was when I mentioned K&K Toys that triggered his memory. He
got his machine and games from the Crestwood location.

He checked with his mother, it was still at her house. She had tried to
sell it, and apparently some SumGuys tried offering her $15 for the
entire package, and she knew that was too low, so she sat.

He got it from her, tested it and got the games list. Seven carts,
loose, no overlays or dox, and the machine. We settled on $70 for the
complete package.

So I got for $70:
Vectrex
Hyperchase
Bedlam
Pole Position
WebWars
Solar Quest
Fortress of Narzod
Star Trek: TMP

Based on eBay complete sales prices, I'd say I made out like a bandit
with this one. Just the machine still tends over $100 it appears, and
the games rack up pretty good by comparison, also. And it seems to all
work great. Too bad no overlays, but I can make them off scans online
or buy recreations at $10-$15 for a complete set. Also, since I was
going to Soulard's Market anyway, the seller met me there, saving me on
effective pick-up cost and shipping.

So nice to post a successful garage sale report.

Oh, and still no buyers on the toddler toys.

Nicely found.

How many Vectrex does that make now? Until I get my house fully in
order, I've had to put my questing on semi hold. (My kids just shifted
from a shared bedroom, to separate ones, so splitting up the toys they
have is a major undertaking)

Cheers, and 'grats again.

Weren't you up to something like 7,8,23 or something like that?

Oh, and these are the first ever carts for the veccy. I may have one,
but I can't locate it if I do, so I call these my first carts.
