Post by c***@yahoo.comSince this group is so quiet, I thought this page might be good for a
few laughs:http://www.angelfire.com/ca2/lcsboots/ Even the days of
that bass playing god were something of a golden age, compared with
the trickle this group has slowed to.
It prolly forgot that was up, but the health and beuaty link lead to one
of its many proclamations that it was done with this group, a promise
never kept through numerous postings, but finally honored some years
back.
However, given the prospect of either a dead group or a group stuffed
with its inane posts, I prefer this no man's land. Actually, I don't
know for sure when it disappeared, as I had kill-filed it some to prior.
I only remained aware it was haunting here still because newbies were
still replying to it.

Don't forget about that Dolan character, either. Dolan's posts were
pure insanity - how else could someone construct such mindlessly
incoherent, random messages over and over and over...Mentioning these
oddballs is much like summoning some sort of demon: watch invoking
their name too much, lest you summon the evil incarnate.
Anyway, I think I should do a "retro brag": as a longtime lurker here,
I never mentioned one of my best finds, which is the Snatcher Sega CD!
I found this copy of Snatcher in a long since closed, and short lived,
tiny flea market for a mere five dollars! Snatcher is the most
valuable game I have: I've seen copies going for over $200 now.
Also of note is the insanity going on in the Neo Geo world. A copy of
Aero Fighters 3 recently sold for over $30000 because it was
purportedly a heretofore unknown US edition (the Jp version is worth a
few hundred and the only difference is the label and insert), and it
has turned out to be a forgery! With the number of high quality Neo
Geo AES cart counterfeits out there now, you have to be nuts to risk
thousands on high value titles like Metal Slug. If I ever get into the
Neo, it would probably be the the arcade MVS carts which are cheap,
and bypass all of the insane drama surrounding the home system. The
chances of finding a Neo AES in the wild are pretty slim anyway - I
remember these ultra expensive systems in an Electronics Boutique in
my local mall back in the early nineties and I'd be amazed if they
sold more than a few units.
